Feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, irritable, anxious, depressed… alone? Many new moms feel isolated and struggle with unexpected postpartum feelings. You are not alone!
Parent and Family Program is offering a Perinatal Mindfulness Group is a six-week therapeutic group for new moms and moms to be. This supportive group combines mindfulness practice, self-care and CBT skill building to boost maternal wellness and strengthen early bonding. Moms will gain the confidence and skills to manage the emotional highs, lows and many transitions of early parenthood.
Participants will learn:
- Healthy coping skills to feel better and less overwhelmed
- Mindfulness techniques to feel grounded, patient and capable of managing everyday stress
- Creative ways to integrate self-care practices
- Tools to recognize and challenge unhelpful thought patterns
- Nurture and strengthen your bond with your baby
Time: 10 am – 11am
Dates: Tuesdays, March 16th – April 20th 2021
