It was a pleasure presenting with my colleagues Luna Najera and Nandipa Sipengane on Adopting Multiliteracy in the Language Classroom.

This presentation will go over the basics of the Multiliteracy Pedagogical approach for language teaching. It will address skepticism of the compatibility of this approach for language teaching in Novice and Intermediate level courses. The presentation will also elaborate on ways in which language instructors can plan, sequence, and assess learning in relation to target language contexts. Drawing key works of this approach, the presentation provides various examples of how to teach language through text-based materials from day 1.
