Differential Instruction

This module offers a strong foundation for heritage learners, but to cater to non-heritage learners, with diverse learning styles and abilities, here are some differentiated learning strategies:

  • Phase 1: Students can choose characters based on their prior knowledge or select from a narrowed-down list based on their reading level.
  • Phase 2: Provide scaffolding for research by offering a list of reliable online resources or pre-selected readings.
  • Phase 3: Provide students with a list of conversation starters or sentence frames to guide their interaction with the chatbot.
  • Phase 4:Offer templates or storyboards to support students in creating their folktales.
