Bio:

I grew up in Westerville, Ohio. I attended college at American University in Washington, DC. I studied Political Science and International Studies. I was very involved in homelessness advocacy work, and I taught English as a Second Language to day laborers waiting for work in a Home Depot parking lot. I felt called to faith-based social justice ministry, so I became a certified candidate for ordained ministry as a deacon in the United Methodist Church. After that, I served as a Missionary at a nonprofit immigration legal services organization in Miami, Florida. Then I went to law school. During law school, I volunteered for immigration-related nonprofits, interned for five federal government agencies, and fostered 70 cats and kittens. Currently, I am an M.Div. candidate at the Divinity School. I hope to work as a nonprofit immigration attorney in connection with a local church. I am especially interested in US asylum law and policy. I look forward to meeting you!
