Sofia Jacobson is a first-year graduate student in the MCGD track of the BBS program. They hold a B.A. in Molecular Cellular Biology from the University of Arizona. During their undergraduate studies, they gained experience in molecular, chemical, engineering, and computational labs. Their goal is to continue to apply interdisciplinary approaches to understanding the fundamental processes of cells, specifically the three-dimensional structures of the nucleus. They are enthusiastic about studying the 3D genome and exploring chromatin tracing and MINA technologies in the Steven Wang lab. In their free time, they enjoy playing with their cats (Bonbon & Bijoux) and expressing creativity through art. Welcome to the lab, Sofia!
