Invited Lecture at Washington U. in St. Louis.

“Angela Lee-Smith, PhD, Senior Lector in East Asian Languages and Literatures at Yale University, talks about Yale’s implementation of their new Learning Management System, Canvas @ Yale. In this video, Lee-Smith talks about using portfolios in Canvas as a pedagogical instrument to evaluate student achievement levels, producing evidence-based performance data that allows her to adjust her instructional strategies to meet individual goals.” Posted on June 14, 2017- Yale Center for Teaching and Learning

This presentation demonstrates what Canvas Modules can do and shares how instructors can utilize them in their courses. Teaching-Learning Modules enable instructors to design, construct, organize, and manage their teaching processes so that other instructors /colleagues can know what their students have learned. At the same time, modules visualize students’ learning processes as well. (The 2018 Canvas @ Yale Lightning Talks was held on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Center for Teaching and Learning in Sterling Memorial Library. This event is an annual event providing the opportunity for educators and support staff to share with their peers and show how they use and support Canvas.)
