Professor Roderick Ferguson (Professor and Chair of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Professor of American Studies, and Affiliate Faculty in Ethnicity, Race, and Migration) is the recipient of the 2020 Kessler Award, given each year to a scholar or activist who produces a substantive body of work with significant influence on LGBTQ Studies. Alondra Vázquez López (ER&M ’21) is one of three Yale students to receive the highly competitive and prestigious Rhodes Scholarship in 2020. Rhodes Scholarships fully fund up to three years of graduate study at the University of Oxford in England. Alondra will be pursuing a Master of Science in both migration studies and refugee and forced migration studies at Oxford next year. Congratulations, Alondra!
