Congratulations to ER&M seniors who won well-earned university-wide prizes and academic distinctions on Class Day 2020! These accomplished students include Janis Jin and Emily Almendarez, who received the Nakanishi Prize; Maslen Ward won the Henry H. Strong Prize and the Richard Schoenberg Prize; Janis Jin received the John Hubbard Curtis Prize; Shamsa Derrick and Christian Fernandez received the Roosevelt L. Thompson Prize; Yuki Hayasaka received Honorable Mention for the William Prize; and Matty Motylenski received the William H. McKim Prize.

In addition, Ben Levin, Mary Miller, and Maslen Ward graduated with Cum Laude distinction; Shamsa Derrick, Janis Jin, and Julia Kahn graduated with Magna Cum Laude distinction; and Marisa Vargas-Morawetz graduated with Summa Cum Laude distinction. Image previewOn Monday, April 27, the ER&M Program hosted our annual Senior Presentations and Celebration event on Zoom with 75 people in attendance! Professor Albert Laguna emceed the event and ten of our seniors presented their excellent work. Following a slideshow featuring faculty tributes honoring the largest class yet in ER&M history, senior Janis Jin offered a thoughtful class reflection. Professors Ana Ramos-Zayas and Alicia Schmidt Camacho rounded out the event with their words of appreciation and admiration to the graduates and those who have made ER&M a wonderful community.  Check out the slide show honoring our graduating seniors here!
