I am interested in modelling household behaviour in developed and developing countries and, more generally, in Applied Econometrics. Much of my research has looked at life-cycle models of individual behaviour and their implications for aggregate fluctuations,  I have also worked on models of individual interactions, in particular, on formal and informal insurance by households, in developed and developing countries.

Recently I have been particularly interested in the process of child development and in measurement issues in economics. I  am also working  on  inequality.
