Bookyung Jung joins Yale as Senior Lector in the Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures. She received her Ph.D. in East Asian Languages and Literatures (Korean Linguistics) from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa.

Her research interests include input-output relations in second language acquisition through the analysis of language textbooks and the linguistic differences among different learner groups, and the application of natural language processing techniques to corpora produced by learners of Korean.

Bookyung has published articles in international journals such as Natural Language Processing Journal, Corpora, International Review of Applied Linguistics in Language Teaching, and International Journal of Learner Corpus Research.
