Prior to joining Yale University, Hyunsung Lim taught Korean language at Sogang University, Korea from 2006 to 2019. During that period, he was also a visiting lector at Yale and UMASS Amherst teaching Korean language from 2011 to 2012. Currently, his research is primarily focused on classroom factors that affect language learning and developing language learning textbooks.
