Thank you for visiting my site. I am a Ph.D. candidate in Spanish at Yale University specializing in interdisciplinary approaches to early modern Hispanic literature and culture. I am currently studying the role of architectural discourse in the novelistic works of Miguel de Cervantes and have published sole- and co-authored articles on Cervantes, the Arcipreste de Hita, Borges, and 16th century missionary theater in Mexico.  I hold a Certificate in Second Language Acquisition through the Yale Center for Language Study, and I have experience teaching on topics such as Spanish language and culture, comparative literature, cultural studies, and writing to high school and university students.  Please feel free to contact me at katherine.l.brown@yale.edu with any questions.
