Gregory P. Laughlin is a professor of astronomy and astrophysics at Yale University. He is interested in hydrodynamic simulations, the characterization of extrasolar planets and planet-forming environments as well as the far future of the Universe.

Laughlin also maintains active research interests in low-latency networking, and is a member of the cISP consortium. He is a co-founder of Metaculus, a forecasting technology platform that optimally aggregates quantitative predictions of future events, and he is a co-founder of Lucinetic, a start-up devoted to long-form text generation using Artificial Intelligence.
