Adda Birnir and Darrow Vanderburgh-Wertz
Adda and Darrow created a series of posters to raise awareness about acquaintance rape on campus and in the New Haven area. Their posters were designed a la the Guerrilla Girls — except instead of critiquing the art world, they exposed the expressions of misogyny that often go overlooked and unaddressed in our communities.
Aditi Anand
Aditi developed a documentary film on Growing Through Sewing, a program in New Haven that prepares women with life-skills training, counseling, and income-generating sewing skills, so that they can use their abilities to support themselves. Aditi’s film documented the program and helped promote the products that these women created.
