The MacMillan Comparative Politics Workshop is a forum for work in progress by Yale faculty and graduate students, as well as scholars from other universities. The workshop’s methodological and substantive range is broad, and we aim to discuss the best research in the field.

The workshop meets on Tuesdays between 12:00 p.m. and 1:20 p.m. in Room 203, 34 Hillhouse Avenue  (Luce Hall). There are no formal presentations. Papers are distributed one week prior to the workshop and are read in advance by attendees. A student discusses the paper for about 10 minutes, followed by a response by the presenter and open discussion.

The workshop faculty directors for the 2017-2018 academic year are Kate Baldwin and Daniel Mattingly. The graduate student coordinator is Remco Zwetsloot.
