I’m Jamal, nice to meet you.
I am a third–year medical student here at Yale. I am proud to be a part of such a great institution. I am also a Black student at Yale, and I’m equally proud of my race and my heritage. I have a wonderful family, and I am grateful to the Yale community for creating an environment where I can feel safe and at home.
I was born in New Jersey, and I was raised in central New York. I was fortunate to have been raised in a strong and loving family.
I am excited about the bright future ahead of me. I am looking forward to making a positive contribution to the future of medical science.
Email me if you have questions about my blog, or to ask me about how you can help contribute to equality in higher education.
