Our vision embodies an ultimate platform that serves as a link to connect all Turkish-American community members in New England and eases the integration of the incoming Turkish students to the region.

 

OUR MISSION

To unite Turkish students and those interested in Turkish culture and heritage in New England and all over the United States under NETSA membership.

To facilitate social, cultural, professional interactions between members and the members of the New England Community;

To introduce and to promote various aspects of Turkish culture, music, art, history and related issues and to initiate inter-cultural dialogue between its members and other organizations in this respect;

To organize conferences, seminars, concerts, exhibitions, cultural activities and other events relevant with Turkey, Turkish history, culture and heritage;

To create networking opportunities between students, scholars, and professionals;

To orient incoming Turkish students to the university environment and assist them in their effort to adjust to the new community as much as possible;

To educate and promote knowledge among members and individuals of Turkish-American society about the issues related with Turkey including but not limited to its culture, history, social matters and other subjects that are closely related with Turkish-American society that lives in the United States of America.

To raise funds necessary to sustain the foregoing activities and to expend such funds exclusively for the Corporation’s charitable and educational purposes;

To engage in any lawful act or activity in furtherance of the foregoing and in furtherance of the charitable and educational purposes of the Corporation as are permitted under Chapter 180 of the Massachusetts General Laws; and

To engage in and carry on any other activities not inconsistent with these purposes, which are permitted to a corporation organized under Chapter 180 of the Massachusetts General Laws, but only to the extent that such activities shall not preclude classification of the Corporation as an organization exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Code.
