Yale Researchers Working with TAM

Juan Lora
Assistant Professor of Earth and Planetary Sciences Juan Lora leads the research group, and has overseen TAM since developing it in 2014. His research with TAM focuses on Titan’s methane cycle, atmospheric circulation, surface–atmosphere interactions, and paleoclimate.

Michael Battalio
Research Scientist J. Michael Battalio studies atmospheric dynamics across Earth, Mars, and Titan. His research with TAM focuses on annular modes of climate variability, global wave activity, and the impacts of convection on circulation.

Sooman Han
Graduate student Sooman Han is interested in the evolution and habitability of planets. His research with TAM focuses on the dynamics of the boundary layer of Titan.

Caleb Keaveney
Graduate student Caleb Keaveney studies planetary atmospheres. His research focuses on building planetary climate modeling capabilities, building on existing TAM infrastructure.

Nick Lombardo
Graduate student Nick Lombardo studies Titan’s mesosphere and stratosphere. His research with TAM focuses on dynamical mechanisms that lead to stratospheric phenomena, such as the formation and dissipation of the polar vortices.
