Call for Abstracts

SYNC is an annual conference that serves as a platform for linguistics graduate students from Stony Brook, Yale, NYU, and CUNY to to disseminate research results, exchange ideas, and more broadly, foster a sense of community. This year, the conference will be held at Yale University on Saturday December 9, 2017.
Abstracts are invited for 20 minute presentations (followed by 10 minute discussions) on any aspect of theoretical or applied linguistics. Submissions are limited to one singly authored and one jointly authored abstract per author or two jointly authored abstracts.
Abstract Submission
Only graduate students may submit their abstracts. Anonymized abstracts should be emailed as PDF attachments to SYNCatYale@gmail.com. Please use the subject “ABSTRACT” in your e-mail and include the following information in the body of the message:

Remove any identifying information from the body of the abstract as well as the metadata of the file. References to previous work by the author within the abstract should be either be in the third person, like any other reference, or the author named changed to “Author” as appropriate.
Abstract Format
Submitted abstracts will be:
- 2 pages in length, maximum, including figures, examples and references
- 1″ margins
- 11 or 12 point font
