Political Discussion with Mohammad Razvi (4/14/16)
This Thursday at the AACC, SAS will host a discussion with Mohammad Razvi, the Executive Director of The Council of Peoples Organization in New York City. COPO, as it is known, is a non-profit organization that works to assist low income immigrant families, particularly South Asians and Muslims. It also helps to build community relations between Muslims and non-Muslim communities. Our discussion will cover topics from South Asian advocacy to discrimination against South Asians. It will be a lively discussion, and all are welcome!

Join SAS to sit back, relax, and enjoy a screening of 3 Idiots. We will also have a station set up where you can get henna done on your palms and fingers!
Open Forum (12/3/15)
Due to the popularity of our last open meeting, SAS will be hosting another open forum event for members of the South Asian community to come together and have an honest discussion. Topics of discussion will include the portrayal of South Asian characters in the media and racial microaggressions. We also hope to continue our discussions from the last meeting about the role of the South Asian community within the larger Asian and Yale communities.
Craving some Bollywood tunes and thumkas? Want to see your favorite people shake it on stage? Well you’re in luck because Roshni is back and better than ever! Come join SAS to celebrate South Asian culture at the largest cultural showcase on campus.
The event will include exciting performances from Yale Jashan Bhangra, Sur et Veritaal, Rangeela, Monstraasity, Kala, and much more! Not to mention, the night will be emceed by the amazing Mustafa and Saad!
