Laura Wexler is Professor of American Studies, Professor of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, and Co-Chair of the Women’s Faculty Forum at Yale. She holds an affiliation with the Film Studies Program, the Program in Ethnicity, Race and Migration, and the Public Humanities Program.
Kishwar Rizvi is an historian of Islamic Art and Architecture. She has written on representations of religious and imperial authority in Safavid Iran, as well as on issues of gender, nationalism and religious identity in modern Iran and Pakistan.
Tamara Sears is a specialist on the art and architectural history of South Asia with particular interests in the relationships between political power, religion, and the production of sacred architecture in ancient and medieval India. Her research focuses on the relationship between ritual and architecture, asceticism and worldly power, and iconology and religious experience.
Inderpal Grewal is Professor of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Yale University. She is also Professor in South Asian Studies, Ethnicity, Race and Migration Studies and American Studies.
