- Project Description: This project was created for intermediate level heritage language learners of Spanish (SPAN142). The project invites students to explore indigenous legends (textual) from the heritage country, discuss similarities among the various cultures (aural and video) and relate them to objects from the Art of the Ancient Americas collection at the Yale University Art Gallery. The project culminates in a class blog/discussion post.
- Project Rationale: Connecting Cultures invites the students to engage with cultural artifacts of the heritage culture. In order to do so, through guided activities, students expand grammatical and lexical constructs necessary to perform the various tasks (communicative, interpretive and presentational.)
