Project Bright was founded in the spring of 2011 with a microloan from the Yale Office of Sustainability. We hosted our first training in the fall of 2011 as a joint project group of the Yale Undergraduate Energy Club and the Yale Student Environmental Coalition, and completed a survey of potential roofs for new installations later in the year.
Fall 2012, we officially registered as student organization, and we’ve got three action teams – Installations (building a system for Kline Geology Lab); Education (designing the training program); and Research.
