WRITING

As a recognized public intellectual and thought leader, Natarajan writes widely about science, space, cosmology, black holes, dark matter, dark energy, the scientific process, creativity in science, the social and cultural context of science as well the relationship between science and art. Deeply dismayed by the rampant denialism of science, that is a subject that she also frequently addresses in her writing. She is a regular contributor to the New York Review of Books and writes opinion pieces for various outlets including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and CNN.

Natarajan’s first book Mapping the Heavens: The Radical Scientific Ideas that Reveal the Cosmos was published in 2016 by Yale University Press. Her second book, on the nature of scientific revolutions is due to be published by Penguin Random House. She is represented by the The Wylie Agency.

She is a published poet and her first collection of poems appeared in the WishWomen Quarterly.
