Municipal Governance Structures – MENA Countries

United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) has created country profiles with a focus on local government structures and the relationship between local institutions and the central government. Profiles available include:
Algeria
Egypt
Iran
Jordan
Lebanon
Morocco
Tunisia
Turkey

UCLG has also gathered information on local government legislation in 15 countries in a report entitled “Research on Local Government Systems in Middle East and West Asia Countries.”
