SMART Tools and OS X Lion and Mountain Lion (10.7 & 10.8)

An issue persists with the SMART Board Tools not responding in Mac OS X Lion  and Mountain Lion (10.7 & 10.8). While the tools will work within the SMART Notebook application, the Smart Ink Aware overlay does not appear when working with other applications. The workaround is to downgrade to the previous version of the SMART drivers (10.8) which can be download by clicking this link.

  1. Before installing the 10.8 version drivers, remove the 11.0 version by using the SMART Uninstaller app found in the SMART Technologies folder in the Applications directory.
