Venue

NELS 55 will be held at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.

There are two entrances, one on High Street (accessible) and another at the Old Campus (enter from the Phelps Gate). You will see signs of direction and posters with the NELS 55 logo.

When you get to the Omni hotel, take the staircase and walk one floor up to the “Mezzanine” level, or take the elevator and press “M”.

New Haven is served by the NYC area airports (JFK, Laguardia, Newark) in addition to Hartford’s Bradley International (BDL). The closest option is Tweed-New Haven Airport, but it serves a limited number of routes.

Yale is also accessible by train. New Haven Union Station is served by both Amtrak and the Metro North Railroad. New Haven State Street Station is slightly closer to campus, but has less frequent service.

Parking

Parking is available at the Chapel-York Garage, 150 York Street, New Haven. The garage is a 6-minute walk to the conference venue (64 High Street) and the rates are reasonable ($17 for 24 hours, $10 from 7am to 6pm).  If you’re staying at a hotel, you’ll also be able to find parking there.

Wifi

The YaleGuest network allows access to a segregated portion of the Yale University wireless data network. The Yale University guest wireless network is a limited wireless data network provided for guests of the University. No username or password is required. The YaleGuest network is insecure (open and unencrypted).
