GUYS!
I MET MOS WANTED CREW! (Well, only 5 of them but still…)
WOW!
I took two workshops taught by Brian Puspos and Lando Wilkins, respectively. As you can expect, due to their difference in style, each workshop focused on different movement styles. Brian’s has always been very smoothy and, honestly, a little cocky but it is quite showy. His choreography used J. Cole’s new track “G.O.M.D.“. Lando, on the other hand, often focuses on each word rather than the beat, per se. In turn, his choreography felt a little more interpretative (using ASAP Ferg’s “Dope Walk“) and I’d definitely say a bit more taxing than Brian’s but both were very fun and really invigorating. Two folks I wanted to have class with but unfortunately just did not have the time to attend were by Jawn Ha and Ade Willis, two of my favorites from Mos Wanted Crew, so I’ll post up my dope photos with them as mental compensation.
SO I HAD PRETTY DAMN GOOD START TO THE WEEK!
But Korea can get you, guys.
Visas, they are just pure evil. I spent three days this week going back and forth to their immigration office to settle fees I had no other choice but to pay because KLCC failed to return my refund early enough for me to extend my visa when I initially changed programs. In turn, the fees amounted up to a cost more than the original visa. HOW DOES ONE LITTLE CARD COST THAT MUCH MONEY?! It got me thinking of how absurd the idea that we store incredibly important information on pieces of paper and little bits of plastic. (Insert rage here.) However, the people at the office could read my frustration and cut out some fees to make the situation somewhat work out for me. However, I will never get back those total 6 hours of evil ever again.
Too riled up to add anything extra now but I’ll be back with a clearer head post emotional roller coaster next blog.
