Week 26: Re-Escape

Paper is being revised, bags are prepped for moving, farewells are being said. I may not be the best at opening but I damn well know how to close. After a clearly shitty quarter in comparison to summer in regards to language, it was finally time to reinvigorate myself with an adventure.

Taiwan was, at first, hard to understand going into college. Ignorant of its history and cultural dynamics, I didn’t know enough to say much anything about it. However, entering college dramatically changed that since my brother from another mother at Yale, Jeremy, is Taiwanese. He and so many other Yalies have been loads of help in understanding what the country is and where it stands now.

I hope to do a lot of exploring but I am also interested in the aborigines of this Pacific island. Language barrier and lack of resources will definitely be a problem but let’s see how far I can go.
