Join us for our next talk on Thursday, April 28th! A panel of three Yale alumni will share their perspectives on the diverse opportunities and career paths available in the electrical engineering field.

This will be a hybrid event, so you can join us in person or on Zoom. Pizza and refreshments will be served!

Speakers

Will Braff, ’05

Will graduated from Grace Hopper in 2005 with a BS in Physics, and holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from MIT. As the Battery Material and Cell Engineering Manager in Apple Special Projects Group, Will leads development of new lithium ion battery chemistry and design concepts. He lives in Palo Alto, CA, and has three young children.

Adam Wolnikowski, ’21

I’m EECS ’21, and while at Yale published research on hardware security and networking with Profs. Jakub Szefer, Robert Soule, and Rajit Manohar, for which I received the CS department undergraduate research prize. After Yale, I worked as an embedded systems engineer at Humatics, a robotics startup, and recently began a new position as a software engineer at Anduril, a defense startup.

Aunica Steele, ’15

Aunica Steele graduated from Yale with an ABET-accredited B.S. in EE in 2015. She has since held two roles at Microsoft, the first as a Product Engineer with Microsoft Devices in the New Product Introduction group, and her current role as an AI Hardware Engineer in the Azure Hardware Architecture group. She earned her Master’s in EE in 2021 from Stanford while working at Microsoft.

Speakers

Will Doyle, EE ’22

Will is a senior ABET Electrical Engineering student at Yale. He enjoys building robots and solving interesting problems.

Tanya Jomaa, EE & ECON ’23

Tanya Jomaa is a junior in Benjamin Franklin studying Electrical Engineering and Economics. She has explored traditional engineering pathways through IEEE and research at Yale in addition to roles in finance through YSIG and various internships.

Taylor Chapman, EE ’22

Taylor is a senior studying Electrical Engineering on the ABET track and completing the Energy Studies certificate. On campus, she has served as an EENG 200 tutor and an officer in Y-IEEE, been active in first generation and low income circles through STARS and QuestBridge, studied abroad in Ireland to study power engineering, and pursued both internships and research in the energy field.

Daniel Esguerra, EECS ’22

Daniel is a senior studying EECS. Besides Yale Men’s Rugby, he is currently involved in the Student Branch of the IEEE (Y-IEEE) and the Computer Architecture and Security Lab (CASLAB), and he is excited to join NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) this fall.

Daniel Bacheschi, EE ’22

Daniel is a fourth-year electrical engineering student, with a special focus on sensing technologies in healthcare and energy. He currently conducts biosensor research at Yale, and is preparing to pursue a Masters degree in the fall of 2022.
