Elizabeth Susanna Breaon married Dr. Colin McLary on Oct 30, 1794 at Chester Vale. They are my great great great grandparents. They had nine children, the first four were born in Jamaica and the latter five in Scotland. Colin bought the Keil Estate near Southend, Argyll in 1819 and lived there until his death in 1834. Elizabeth died in 1850. Colin sold part of the Chester Vale plantation to his brother Dr. Alexander McLarty in the early 1800’s and that part became the Clydesdale plantation. Both Chester Vale and Clydesdale plantationss remained in the McLarty/Maclaverty family until the mid 1800’s. Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee is still sold under the Clydesdale name today.
