A portrait of Dr. Victor Grovas

Dr. Victor F. Grovas is an Associate Professor of Spanish, Literature, and Drama at the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro. His research traces the intersections between Mexican literature and German romanticism with a special focus on Henrik Ibsen’s and August Strindberg’s works and reception in Mexico. He has written several books but most recently A German Romantic, An Innovative Norwegian, and the Creation of Modern Theater: Tieck, Ibsen, and His Theatrical Initiation Trip to Germany (México, UAQ, 2020).
