Technology and Artificial Intelligence Tools in Children’s Book Project

The following tools and technologies can be used at the different steps of this project:

  1. Google document can be used for making observation notes after skimming through the different children’s books. A sample of Google document is attached here.
  2. Jamboard can be used for students to organize their need-to-knows about the process, language and content for writing a children’s story.
  3. Bookcreator.com or Storyjumper.com for the students to create a book with text in different languages, add audio and images.
  4. Students can get feedback from an AI tools like Gemini, ChatGPT, Copilot, Llama, or Claude AI on the first draft of their story- this feedback will be on both the grammar as well as vocabulary. Ideally, this will be followed by the students engaging with AI tools to take individualized and personalized grammar/ vocabulary lessons that they need to focus on.
  5. Students will also use AI image generators to generate images and pictures for their book. Students are also welcome to paint and make their own pictures. Here are some AI tools for generating images: meta.ai, stability.ai, w.aicreator.night.cafe.studio
  6. Gallery walk can be used for the students to give each other feedback on their stories/ books with “I see… I think… I wonder…” protocol.
