I successfully defended my dissertation on July 22nd and officially submitted it on October 1st.
I won the best poster award for the presentation of my work in collaboration with Mark Tiede and Doug Whalen, titled “Concurrent aero-tactile stimulation does not bias perception of VOT for non-initial stops” at the 176th Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America (joint meeting
with the Canadian Acoustic Association), in Victoria, BC, Canada, on November 6th.
I presented my work in collaboration with Mark Tiede and Doug Whalen, titled “Audio-Tactile Integration in Perception of American English Stops in Initial and Medial Positions” at the 93rd Annual Meeting of the Linguistic Society of America (LSA) in NYC, NY, on January 5th.
I spent the month of August 2018 in Thailand, collecting data for my dissertation, researching multi-sensory integration in the perception of initial stops in the Thai language.
