In parallel to our seminars, we are hosting a series of working group meetings for interested graduate students and faculty. Conceived as a space to experiment with critical pedagogical praxis in introductory political science courses, the working group will draw on critical insights and interventions from our seminars in order to produce syllabi for introductory courses across political science subfields.
The working group is open to faculty and students across all subfields, and to graduate students at any stage of the doctoral program. Moreover, we welcome participants in any phase of syllabus development.
Working group meetings will be held in a hybrid format on Wednesday afternoons from 4-5:30pm ET in the week following each seminar. Our first session will meet on October 6, and subsequent sessions will be held on October 27, November 17, and December 8, with a concluding session to be arranged. Details regarding the in-person location of our working group sessions are forthcoming.
Members of the Yale Political Science department can indicate their interest in joining the working group by emailing criticalpspedagogy@yale.edu.
