Bulldog Bots plans to enter 3 different events over the course of the coming year.

Micromouse, Brown IEEE Robotics Olympiad, April 12th, Providence, RI

The objective of this competition includes designing, constructing, and programming an autonomous maze-solving robot (“micromouse”) that reaches the center of a maze in the shortest possible time. The maze consists 16×16 16.8cm squares, separeted by 1.2cm thick walls. The robot is given 10 minutes to traverse the maze and must make the run from start to finish without interference. Additionally, all teams are required to limit the cost of the total parts to $500. Micromouse competitions are popular for their interdisciplinary nature as they involve elements of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, artificial intelligence, and computer science. Sumobot and RC Combat, Central Illinois Robot Club Bot Brawl, April 5th, Normal IL

Central Illinois Robotics Club hosts one of the largest hobby robotics competitions in the country including RC combat, sumo robotics, autonomous line following and more. This annual competition offers many possible entries, and we will be entering two robots. The competition is held at Illinois State University, on April 5th, 2014.

We will be entering the Autonomous Mini Sumobot event. For more information on this event contact samantha[dot]samuelson[at]yale.edu.

We will be entering the 3 lb RC combat event. For more information on this event contact john.rockaway.yale.edu.
