Vision: The ASL Program at Yale University strives to produce a community of ASL users who are committed to supporting the rights and needs of Deaf people within their professions.
Mission: Our program of study is designed to assist students in acquiring proficiency in American Sign LanguageĀ and appreciation of the Deaf community through a high quality language learning and cultural studies curriculum. By collaborating with school and community partners, the ASL program will coordinate authentic learning experiences that prepare students to integrate ASL into their professions.
