Born and raised in Fuzhou, China, Yiqun then attended University of California, San Diego and received her Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering:Biotechnology. During her undergraduate research, Yiqun mainly worked on understanding how 3D genome folding contributes to the regulation of gene expression. At Yale, Yiqun hopes to continue to extend her understanding of molecular regulatory mechanisms as well as explore their cellular contexts with the aid of cutting-edge technologies. Besides doing research, Yiqun also enjoys filming dance covers with friends and taking photos of great food. Welcome, Yiqun, to our lab!
