Please note: a copy of this letter will be on its way to you shortly by mail! Thank you for your patience.
Dear U.S. Grant Student and Family,
Congratulations and welcome to the Ulysses S. Grant Foundation Summer Program 2019! All of us involved with the program are eagerly awaiting your arrival. Get ready for six weeks of exciting classes, hands-on learning, and many fun activities with a team of outstanding teachers and a community of wonderful students like you.
We write with information about the summer and the upcoming family orientation on Thursday, June 20th, 2019. Please note that parent/guardian attendance at orientation is mandatory. Because we will be collecting enrollment information, students must have a parent or guardian in attendance at orientation in order to begin the program.
Family and Student Orientation

SHEFFIELD-STERLING-STRATHCONA HALL AUDITORIUM
1 Prospect Ave. (at the corner of Prospect and Grove, diagonal from Woolsey Hall)
Please note that parking may be difficult in this area, so plan to come early to allow time for parking. Remember Yale lots are free and open to public parking after 4pm.
Program Dates – The program begins on Monday, June 24th. The last day of the program will be Friday, August 2nd. Classes are held in Dwight Hall, 67 High Street, on Yale’s Old Campus, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Students may be dropped off at Dwight Hall each day as early as 8:40 AM. Students should go home promptly at 3:00 PM; unfortunately, we cannot stay with students past this time. Drop-off and pickup will be at Phelps Gate this year, located at 344 College Street.
Attendance Policy – In order to provide an excellent educational experience for all of our students, we require a strict attendance policy. We expect students to treat their admission seriously, which means that all students must attend every day of the program, arrive on time, and stay until dismissal. Students who do not meet this expectation will be asked to leave the program. We also ask that you schedule vacations before or after the U.S. Grant Program.
As the start date for the program approaches, do not hesitate to e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns.
We look forward to seeing you all at the U.S. Grant Orientation!
