The Vocabulary

During the first ten minutes of each lesson,  one student will be responsible for submitting and presenting the vocabulary of the read pages. Through its composition,  the student will enrich his/her vocabulary with words related both to the theatrical world and to the play.

The vocabulary will be structured in the following entries:

Title of the play:

______________________________________________________________

Numbers of the read pages:

______________________________________________________________

Student’s name:

______________________________________________________________

List of the words (in order of appearance):

–          word/phrase: (explanation and context)

______________________________________________________________

______________________________________________________________

______________________________________________________________

The vocabulary will consist of a list,  in order of appearance,  of new or difficult comprehension words and expressions for the student who will provide a translation in the target language and the context in which these words and expressions are used. The context will provide a better understanding of the vocabulary. Each entry consists of the word/phrase/idiom,  an explanation in the target language and the context,  specifying the page number in which it is found in the adopted edition.

The vocabulary should be written in Italian and sent to the teacher and the assistant no later than the evening before class,  giving them the opportunity to make any necessary comments. Before each class,  the assistant will provide a copy of the vocabulary to all students,  prompting class discussion. When available,  the vocabulary will be posted on the class’s website.
