This page contains information about travel to the conference, and accommodations in the Yale University area.

Conference Location

The conference will be held at Yale University in New Haven, CT.

All presentations will be in Linsly-Chittenden Hall, 63 High Street, Rooms 317-318.

Be advised that it can be difficult to find parking in the Yale area. If at all possible, we encourage you to walk to the conference, or to take public transportation.

 Accommodations

A list of Yale-area hotels can be found at http://www.yale.edu/visitor/lodging.html.

There are several hotels within walking distance of the conference venue, including The Study at Yale, Omni New Haven, Courtyard New Haven, New Haven Hotel, and Farnam Guest House.

The Hotel Duncan is a relatively inexpensive option that is very close to the conference location.

Transportation

For comprehensive information on travel to Yale, please refer to the university’s Transportation Options webpage. Basic information on the most common options is provided below.

    • Area airports include:
      • Tweed-New Haven Regional Airport (HVN) in New Haven, CT (5 miles from campus)
      • Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Hartford, CT (52 miles)
      • John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) in New York City (80 miles)
      • LaGuardia Airport (LGA) in New York City (73 miles)
      • Newark Airport (EWR) in Newark, NJ (93 miles)
  • If possible, we recommend flying in to Tweed (New Haven) or Bradley (Hartford). Traveling from Hartford to New Haven is significantly shorter than traveling from New York City.
  • There are a few shuttle options between Hartford and New Haven. GO Airport Shuttle also offers service to and from Hartford, NYC, and Newark airports.

  • Current traffic information
  • Metered parking on and around campus accepts coin, credit card, and PayPal (via Parkmobile app).
  • We have reserved a limited number of parking spaces in the Pierson Sage Garage during the conference. The walk from the garage to the conference venue takes about 20 minutes. Please contact us if you’re interested in using one of these parking spaces.

  • Metro North provides train service from New York City.
  • Amtrak provides transportation from places including Boston and Washington, D.C.
  • From New Haven Union Station:
    • Yale Shuttle is free and the Red and Early Red routes include stops at Union Station.
    • CT Transit is free and runs M-F every 20 minutes between Union Station and the New Haven Green.
    • Taxi services are also available for travel between Union Station and Yale campus.
