About Me

Aside

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Linguistics at Yale University. My dissertation Bangla k-words: Inquiries into Polarity, Indefiniteness, and Free Choice ties together arguments from such sub-disciplines of linguistics as morphology, semantics, pragmatics, and language typology and analyzes heretofore unexplored patterns in the Bengali (Bangla) language. The dissertation director is Prof. Emeritus Larry Horn.  In addition to my training and research in linguistic theory, I also have seven years of extensive experience in applied linguistics (field work, language pedagogy, and lexicography) and two years of research experience in psycholinguistics/neurolinguistics.
