Printed card advertising a Regency private theatrical performance. A location of London is suggested by the identity of one of the performers. “Mrs. Weippart,” Penelope Weippert, née Blane (-1846), wife of John Michael Weippart (1775-1831), harpist, was a professional actress connected with the Theatre Royal on the Strand.
Signed at the end: Stage carpenter, Mr. Riordan.

Album of 43 trade cards, of various formats, which have been used as receipts or invoices by the traders and have stab holes resulting from the pin they where put on by an accountant or secretary. A few trade cards are repeated, four are typographically printed, and the rest are engraved or etched. All trade cards and bills are addressed to Mrs. Forth and give a good idea of the expenses and needs of a fashionable household in mid 18th-century London.

An engraved advertisement for artist Squire Morley’s services, decorated with a border in the Late Baroque style with two putti on either side, one holding a portrait, the other sketching, grand staircases and eagle holding the scroll on which the text is engraved.
