Students seeking to demonstrate proﬁciency through examination or seeking placement based on prior study must take these exams when oﬀered in the fall.
We offer an program-wide official placement exam only for fall semester. However, individuals who are interested in taking placement exam for spring semester should send inquiries to the program coordinator, Angela Lee-Smith (firstname.lastname@example.org) to schedule
*Light Fellowship returnees who consider taking a Korean language course at Yale are required to take the placement exams AND to submit an official transcript sent directly from your site program to the Program Coordinator, Angela Lee-Smith (email@example.com)
The Korean test includes three components:
(1) Online component: 9:00 am (EST), July 1 to 5:00 pm (EST), August 15 (2) Oral Interview Test AND
(3) Writing Test
Oral Interview Test and Writing Test:
Time: Sunday, August 25, 2019 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
Location: Center for Language Study, 370 Temple St. Come to Rm B21 first for the Writing part at 9AM and then come to Rm106 for Oral Interview. You will be given a time slot ticket for your interview.
