In Memoriam: Robert Sussman

[:en]bob sussmanThe Bezà Mahafaly Special Reserve mourns the loss of one of its co-founding members. Robert Sussman, noted anthropologist and a leading scholar in human and primate behavior, died on June 8th, 2016.   Bob was dedicated to conserving the wildlife and habitat of Bezà’s local species in partnership with members of the community living in and around the forests, and to supporting community-led initiatives to enhance their livelihoods and well-being.  Bob leaves behind his wife, Linda, who often accompanied him in his early years of fieldwork at Bezà, and his two daughters, Katya and Diana.  More on Robert Sussman may be found here:  https://anthropology.artsci.wustl.edu/articles/1683[:fr]bob sussman[:]
