The COSAP committee is for the guidance and monitoring activities for the management of Bezà Mahafaly. The COSAP has taken their regular meeting session on September 28 this year. The Committee took various resolutions which the main are:

– The Committee decided that the 50% of the entrance fee in the Bezà Mahafaly protected area (DEAP) will be used to finance the establishment of a Community Pharmacy in Mahazoarivo. The committee proceeded then to the election of a representative (Mr Philibert) Mahazoarivo for compiling the paperwork needed to proceed.

– Following reflections on the management of forests of Belambo and Antarabory, it was decided that as a first step, a small delegation from the committee will meet and discuss with the traditional owners of these forests. Thereafter, the work of raising awareness will be made, following by conducting the reconnaissance work and inventories in these areas.
