Application

The Amy Rossborough Fellowship Program is no longer accepting applications for the 2015-2016 academic year. Information on the 2016-2017 fellowship cycle will be available in March 2016.

Below is information on the 2015-2016 application.

The program awards up to $1,500 to undergraduate students to complete a semester or year long social justice project in the New Haven area.

The Amy Rossborough Fellowship is especially interested in funding projects that will affect women in New Haven or have a feminist mission, but will consider any proposal relating to social justice. Past recipients have organized projects ranging from teaching financial literacy to high school students, to conducting yoga classes for under-served populations, to art projects that examine social inequalities in New Haven. Applicants can see examples of current and past projects on the Current Fellows and Past Fellows sections of this site. The Amy Rossborough Fellowship Program cannot fund projects for summer 2015, but will consider proposals for summer 2016.

Students awarded the fellowship will meet every other week with the fellowship coordinator, and once a month with other fellows, beginning in the Fall 2015. They will present their projects at a colloquium at the end of the academic year.

Students who are work-study eligible may include work-study wages in their proposed budget, but the total project budget cannot exceed $1,500.

The deadline for the written application is April 10th at 5:00pm. Please submit the application via email to marie-amelie.george@yale.edu. Applicants will be contacted about interviews by April 17th.
